A seasoned communications marketing professional currently based out of New York and Massachusetts, Penélope Ramirez-Ortiz is practiced in leading the development and execution of media relations and communications programs, bridging the intersectionality of diverse consumers for consumer brands.
Penélope's career is rooted in being a multicultural market specialist, where she taps heritage, creative skills, and expertise to establish culturally relevant social partnerships and create programs that ignite meaningful conversations and brand awareness across social media and traditional outlets. Brands that she has worked with include Vaseline, Dove, Suave, TRESemmé, Knorr, Hellmann’s, Country Crock, Starbucks, Heineken USA, Brown-Forman, T.J. Maxx, Time Warner Cable, among others.
Penélope arrived in the United States from the Dominican Republic in 1995. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in legal studies and landed her first job as a legal assistant at a local law firm. It was during her tenure at this firm that she realized that she wanted to pursue a field that would give her an opportunity to express herself in a creative fashion while staying connected to her multicultural background. This is how her passion for the world of brand communications marketing started.
